The Bluetooth pairing with the circulating heater works... but whats the purpose of it? The app cant put the food in or take it out. You need to be physically there to do that. And as long you have to physically there, why not use the controls on the circulator itself? Temperature up, temperature down, start, stop... its not so complex that I need an app. Maybe it would be nice if youre waiting for your bath to come up to temperature, but its Bluetooth, so the range is very limited, twenty to fifty feet (if youre lucky) so you cant venture farther away than you can hear the circulator own alarm beep that sounds when the bath reaches temperature. It seems to me that this is just connectivity and Bluetooth for the sake of being able to say that you have it, not for any real purpose or benefit. Oh well.
The recipe database is nice... a bit shallow, but I have hopes that Anova will grow it over time. The recipes are well-written and easy-to-follow and most dont call do unobtainable ingredients.
What is really shallow, unfortunately, is the time/temperature guide. But, again, I have hopes that it Anova will expand it.
So, the app is nice for what it is and I hope it will expand in the future.
